Employees who work at least 75% of full–time (30 or more hours per week) are eligible for the following benefits the first of the month following date of hire.
There is currently one medical plan offered to eligible employees. AccessCNY offers individual coverage, employee + 1 and family coverage.
There is currently one dental plan offered to eligible employees. AccessCNY offers individual coverage and family coverage.
This plan provides Vision Insurance in accordance with plan terms. Employee is responsible for 100% of the premium.
Flexible Spending Plan:
Pre-tax contributions, via payroll deduction, allow enrolled employees to pay child and dependent care costs, and unreimbursed medical expenses with pre-tax income.
Employees may choose their investment options based on available investment funds through pre-tax payroll deductions. The Agency will match the employee contribution to a specified maximum (currently, AccessCNY contributes 50% of the employee’s 401(k) deferral up to 6% of their annual salary).
Registered Investment Advisor:
Employees who participate in the 401(k) Plan may utilize the Registered Investment Advisor to assist in financial planning.
Paid Time Off (PTO), vacation, personal, holiday, sick and snow days: (dependent upon employment category and hire date)
NYS Disability Insurance:
Pays a weekly benefit for a medically-approved leave based on 50% of the average weekly wage, up to a specified maximum. Benefits begin after a five working day waiting period and continues for up to six months (must have worked 25 days to receive this benefit).
Allows employees the convenience of payroll direct deposit into any number of accounts and banking institutions.

No cost to the employee and continues to pay 2/3 of salary when NYS & Short-Term Disability expires at the end of six months, based on carrier approval.
No cost to the employee and provides a $10,000 term life insurance policy.

Additional Contributory Life Insurance:
This plan provides life insurance in the event of death in accordance with plan terms. Employee is responsible for 100% of the premium.
AFLAC Personal Lifestyle Protector Cancer Plan (a specified disease insurance policy):
This plan provides cash benefit for treatment, hospital confinement, radiation and chemotherapy when losses occur as a result of conditions caused, complicated or aggravated by or resulting from cancer or cancer treatment. Employee is responsible for 100% of the premium.
AFLAC- Personal Hospital Indemnity Plan:
This plan covers many expenses associated with hospital-related admission, emergency room or rehabilitation facility costs not covered by major medical. Employee is responsible for 100% of the premium.
AFLAC Personal Accident Indemnity Plan (a Accident-Only Insurance Policy):
This plan covers many expenses associated with a covered accidental injury, from co-payments to travel as well as death or dismemberment. Employee is responsible for 100% of the premium.
AFLAC Short-Term Disability Insurance:
This plan supplements NYS Disability and provides monthly benefit payments in the case of short term disability. Employee is responsible for 100% of the premium.
Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA ):
An eligible employee is defined as an employee of AccessCNY for at least twelve months before the leave request (these need not be consecutive) who has worked for at least 1,250 hours during the previous fifty-two weeks prior to the date the leave commences.
Profit Sharing Plan:
Employees are eligible once they work 1,000 hours in a calendar year. Eligibility begins January 1 of the following year. No cost to employees: the Agency contributes annually based on availability of funds. Employees choose investment opportunities and can access available funds for hardship withdrawal, loans and at retirement or separation from employment based on vesting schedule.
Employees are issued benefit statements each year outlining the contributions AccessCNY has paid towards their benefit package.
Employee Assistance Program:
Employees are eligible once they work 250 hours in a calendar quarter. Employees can confidentially speak with a professional regarding a variety of personal concerns.
Preschool Tuition Discounts:
AccessCNY offers tuition discounts to employees who have children that attend Exploring Your World (EYW).
