David Clark Learning Center
AccessCNY offers a unique day program for individuals who have experienced a traumatic head injury:
- The David Clark Learning Center provides individualized services and support to people with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and their families.
- The Center’s mission is to provide opportunities for ABI survivors to explore their capacity for learning within a supportive, member-directed environment.
- The Center is open during the day five days per week, providing a variety of activities and supports such as creative writing, memory enhancement activities, and a state-of-the-art music and art program.
“To provide opportunities for ABI survivors to explore their capacity for learning and creativity within a supportive and affirming learning environment.”
The David Clark Learning Center offers its services with a mentality all its own. As a member driven program, the opportunities and resources provided by the Center are decided on by those it serves. This creates a warm, creative and friendly environment for growth and learning. The David Clark Learning Center provides services built to enhance memory and cognitive ability through art, music, writing and computer programs.
