Our Award Categories:

Dick Pratt Thousand Small Gestures Award: This award recognizes an AccessCNY staff member whose compassionate, one-on-one interactions and personalized, creative approaches have inspired individuals with disabilities to find success in new and unanticipated ways.

Empowerment Award: This award is designed to recognize a person with disabilities who has achieved a substantial level of individual independence, financial stability, interpersonal relationships and other types of success.

Grossman Family Innovation Award: This award is designed to recognize family members of people with disabilities who inspire others to give freely of their time and talents, thus supporting the development of new programs and services for children and adults with disabilities.

Jack McCrea Community Visionary Award: This award recognizes an individual or group who has taken action to fill an unmet community need. The nominee’s commitment, leadership, and progressive actions have helped to create a more inclusive community for people of all abilities.

Prudence York Compassionate Leadership Award: Recognizes an outstanding community leader for going above and beyond in showing compassion for people of all abilities, while working collaboratively to create inclusive spaces.
