Trauma Recovery Support – Adults

Many adults have lived through traumatic events or adverse childhood experiences. AccessCNY’s trauma recovery support group The Resilience Project aims to support people who are recovering from trauma and toxic stress by connecting them with others who are also on their recovery journey.

Peer Support

Participants attend meetings in which an expert peer specialist is present to listen and support individuals as they develop coping skills and navigate resource options. Our support groups provide an opportunity for individuals healing from trauma and toxic stress to connect with others, share their experiences in a safe environment, and engage in reflective practices led by a certified peer facilitator.

Education

We provide an educational series covering topics such as trauma, toxic stress, and the science of resilience, all backed by research from the Trauma Resource Institute.
